Lead generation is a key objective for our partners.
To support this, we have developed a 'company scanning mode' within the Web Summit app.
We have recently launched 'lead lists' and 'lead tags' to enhance our company scanning mode.
We have also teamed up with Zuant to provide another lead-scanning option to our partners.
This lead scanning function is controlled by the ticket owner and can be enabled from their ticket dashboard.
It can be accessed from the bottom navigation bar on the home page of the mobile app.
There will be an option to toggle the company scanning on/off. Company scanning mode will be on by default if enabled for that ticket holder.
Once you scan an attendee they need to approve the scan on their app.
If they have, they will appear in the 'Leads' section which you can access directly from the scanner.
Video demonstration here.
During the conference, you’ll have access to the lead scanning feature in the app. Every time you scan an attendee’s badge and they accept it, that person will be added to your lead list. On the attendee portal, you can create different lead lists ahead of time - for example, by topic, product, or team - and then assign tags to each person you scan, so you can organise and follow up more easily after the event.
You can add details to describe any lead list and its purpose, for example: All masterclass leads from Nov 11.
Tags let you categorize scanned leads for easy filtering and follow-up after the event. You can create up to 6 tags.
Example tags: New Customers, Demo, Pricing Enquiry, Budget Holder, Decision Maker, etc.
Each company profile on the Web Summit mobile app has a QR code that can be scanned to connect with that profile.
When an attendee scans the QR code they will be prompted to consent to sharing their information with that company.
QR code scans will appear in 'Leads' in the main menu.

Night Summit is the official Web Summit after-hours get-together, bringing the event to some of our favourite neighbourhoods in Lisbon.
It started in Dublin as evening pub crawls that allowed attendees to get to know each other after a day of talks.
We're bringing Night Summit back to its roots.
This year, we will be renewing our focus on hosting intimate community gatherings, making big rooms feel smaller, and connecting people across Lisbon.
More information on Night Summit will be coming soon.
Please take note of the security and baggage policies below.
Please note the sizes apply from 8.30 am onwards. Before this partners are allowed to bring in boxes or large bags through security.
There will be a bag drop facility located beside both Main Registration and Entrance 2.
