Daily Routines, Classroom Management and other Info

Water bottles, backpacks, lunch boxes/bags, playground equipment should all be left on/at the empty wooden display by the front door next to the light switch panel.

SEATING: All classes will sit in the Non-Fiction section. For ALL classes except PreK and ECS, seat students 3-4 at a time in line order to tables (ie: first 4 students in line should sit together at the front left table; the next 4 students in line should sit together at the next table close to the tv; the next 4 students in line should sit together at the front right corner table; etc). PreK teachers will seat students as they see fit. ECS students will sit on the floor in the Everyone section if plans call for you to read a book to them and move to the tables if plans call for a coloring activity, OR they will sit at the tables if plans call for you to show them a video.

Interland - Digital Citizenship Online Game

• Pull laptops out from cart in the Fiction section - one for each student

• Have students log onto the laptop & open up Chrome internet browser

• Have students type in the url: beinternetawesome.withgoogle.com

• Have students click on “Explore Interland” in the bottom right corner

• When 10 minutes remain, have students logoff laptops & wipe down devices with the tech alcohol wipes (NOT the Oxivir wipes)

• Return laptops to cart and plug IN to charge **exception** leave devices out between 4th & 5th grades

Lucky Leaf & Leaf Man

• Project the laptop to the tv monitor

• Play videos linked below of read alouds of Lucky Leaf and Leaf Man (be sure to expand to the full screen)

• Provide students with a leaf coloring sheet to create their own lucky leaf OR leaf man

Goonie Bird Green read aloud

• Find the sticky note in Goonie Bird Green with the class name written on it and where we stopped the last time we were reading from the book. Mark on the sticky note where you stop reading and leave it on that page.
