BIMAS
A tool to help support students
Parents/Guardians: In our continuing efforts to support the well-being of all our students, we will be administering a universal screener of social, emotional & behavioral health. Our district is using the Behavior Intervention Monitoring Assessment System-2 (BIMAS-2) research-based screening tool. We believe this will help all of our students thrive academically by identifying students who may benefit from additional social and emotional support and interventions, much like some students benefit from additional academic support and interventions.
Screening window tentatively opens October 8th and will conclude in mid-November.
Students will be given an informational letter to take home on Monday, 9-30-24.
Students will be screened by their 2A teacher. Nothing is required of the student.
Parents/Guardians can opt their child out from being screened by returning a signed opt-out form to the main office and/or student services.
Opt-out forms are due back by October 7th.
