Parents/Guardians:  In our continuing efforts to support the well-being of all our students, we administer a universal screener of social, emotional & behavioral health. Our district is using the Behavior Intervention Monitoring Assessment System-2 (BIMAS-2) research-based screening tool. We believe this helps all of our students thrive academically by identifying students who may benefit from additional social and emotional support and interventions, much like some students benefit from additional academic support and interventions. Parents have received a letter explaining BIMAS-2 and giving them the opportunity to opt out of the screening. All opt-out letters were due to the main office or Student Services by the end of the day Oct. 23. Teachers may consider screening students beginning this week (Oct. 26-30) through Nov. 13.
