Collect stones or shells. Be respectful of the environment.
Using pens and paints create your own patterns or write your own words.
Don't force it, be gentle and see what ideas come.
Notice what you are feeling as you work. Do you feel calm or frustrated? If the answer is frustrated go one step further and ask yourself why is frustration my response? How does frustration express itself in my body? Then one step further...
am I frustrated because it is hard,
is it not good enough
is it a disappointing result
...who is the judge in all of this and what is that all about? Welcome the feeling and accept it, it is talking to you.
If you feel calm, take pleasure in that feeling and be curious about why.
Is it the delicate work, the concentration, or the creativity?
Once the paint is dry, brush with PVA for a shiny effect.
These make beautiful gifts.
Branches, sticks, fallen leaves and seeds can all be painted.
