Organize modules

Modules is the page where most information can be found for students. It is therefore important that this page is set up properly and above all logically. This can be done in 2 ways: chronologically or by subject. Which option is most convenient for you, depends on the layout of your course.

Layout by subject:

The layout of modules by subject is the best choice when your course is not too complicated. This means: a course with little different literature, few assignments and little preparation. In short, a course with little fuss. Topics that can be used are: Course information, Literature, Assignments, Lecture slides, Practice exams, etc. When these subjects do not contain too many different files and links, then this is the most orderly format.

Chronological layout:

A chronological layout of Modules is the best choice when your course becomes more complicated. This mainly means: a course in which a lot of different literature has to be read, usually in the form of different articles. For students, it is in this case most convenient to place a link to the article per week or per lecture. A chronological layout is also useful when students have to answer questions for several lectures, when weekly assignments have to be submitted or other things students need to know or do each week. The student can then see at a glance what he or she can expect and should do per week.
