Make your Canvas course as readable as possible
Use bigger font size and spacious font
Students with Dyslexia often have difficulty reading, especially if the text appears crowded or small. To make reading more accessible for this group you can:
Change the font to Arial (Canvas’ standard font), Verdana, Helvetica, Courier, Comic Sans or Calibri as these fonts appear less crowded.
Use a bigger font size (use at least size 14).
Avoid underlining and italics because it can appear crowded.
Avoid using all capital letters and uppercase letters.

How to change fonts in Canvas?
Fonts are a bit hidden away in Canvas. Luckily, the standard font is already an accessible one for students with Dyslexia (Arial). If you want to change the font, go to the edit mode of a Canvas page. In the taskbar above the text box choose Format > Fonts. A list of all available fonts in Canvas will appear. See image below.
