In this project, I had the opportunity to explore a piece of Thai traditional literature called Matthanaphatha, written by King Rama VI (Vajiravudh) in the early 20th century. The story is a beautiful and tragic verse drama about love, karma, and reincarnation, focusing on the journey of the main characters as they face the consequences of their past actions.
Working on this project with my three friends was both fun and meaningful. I was responsible for the first part, which involved researching and writing about the story’s background and main plot details. It gave me a deeper appreciation for Thai poetry and traditional storytelling.
During the process, I faced a few challenges, especially when one of my teammates struggled to complete their part on time. To make sure we didn’t miss the deadline, I decided to step up, help my friends, and take the lead in organizing the work. This experience helped me grow as a team player and demonstrated what it means to be a Leader of the Future, according to MUIDS ESLOs.
Through this project, I learned not only about Thai literature but also about teamwork, responsibility, and handling pressure. I’m grateful for the support I received from Ms. Kung and my friends throughout the process. Even though this is our last project for Grade 11, I’m proud that I’ve continued learning about both academics and myself every single day.
