In this project, I get to draw fractals, which is the image with a repeating pattern within itself and is geometrically proportional. The project was inspired by the math topic of sequence and series because each iteration of a fractal can be thought of as a step in a sequence, with the shape becoming more detailed and intricate at each stage.
First and foremost, I researched the reference for the fractals I wanted to draw. Then, I began working on it, using a variety of tools such as a ruler, compass, and protractor to measure my drawings accurately. From this, I got to be an Innovative Thinker as connected to ESLOS as I was figuring out what technique I should apply with each shape for it to be as accurate as possible. As my work continued, I got to be a Morally Intelligent person too, as I assisted one of my friends who was struggling with how to begin their piece; therefore, I guided them step-by-step until they were able to finish without mistakes. Moreover, being a Strategic Learner is perceived, as I also faced some difficulties along the way, as even I made a tiny mistake that can affect the other shapes, resulting in it being crooked on the sides. I had to erase my work multiple times and remeasure everything, but finally I was able to complete this work beautifully.
All things considered, this work has taught me various lessons that I should be meticulous with everything in my life and to focus on the present, as if I don't give it my full attention, then in the future I won't be able to accomplish my task.
In this project, I get to apply the knowledge from the topic matrices that I learn in the class and combined with the newly learned topic, transformation.
First, I started looking into the image I wanted and ultimately decided on the diamond one. From this, I got to be a Strategic learner that I used technology at my advantage to do some research. In addition, I decided to draw the other two images using translation and reflection in the x-axis. In order to comprehend how the image changes position and orientation, I then color-coded it.
After I finished my work, I assisted my friend who was still confused about the coordinate and calculations which makes me an Articulate communicator and the Leader of the future from lending her my help and explaining to her until she is on the same page with me on this topic.
I even become Altruistic Global Citizens from the walk through that I took around the class, after my work is done, to observe my friends work and appreciate the style differences and uniqueness in each of them.
After we learnt from Ms.Dew about how to solve Complex Numbers, we got the opportunity to practice doing it in real-time before the exam. In this activity, I got the chance to be an Innovative Thinker by completing this Complex Numbers activities with my fellow friends. We had to brainstorm and contribute to solve these problems within the limited amount of time (10 minutes) therefore I decided to take the lead to practice being the Leader of the Future and assigned tasks for my other 3 friends to do. Moreover, I got to be an Articulate Communicator as in the end, my plan was successfully carried out as a team and we finished with all correct answers within 5 minutes. This project reminded me that success often depends not just on individual knowledge, but on how well we can work together to solve problems creatively and efficiently.
