Background
I won a Global Archicad Challenge, where I showcased my skills in 3D modelling and design innovation using Archicad.
Design Iteration: Utilised Archicad’s new AI visualisation capabilities to render high-quality images of the model.
Engaged in a rigorous iterative process to refine the model’s design and developed the appropriate prompt for using the AI Visualizer. Each iteration brought me closer to achieving aesthetic appeal and technical accuracy, ensuring the design was compelling and plausible within a steampunk context.
I developed a detailed Archicad model that blended modern architectural principles with a distinct aesthetic. Utilising the wall tool, I crafted the primary structure of the building, ensuring each section adhered to the precise dimensions and angles required for the unique shape of the model. Using the shell tool was pivotal in adding intricate curved and rounded edges. This combination provided a dynamic visual flow and a sense of continuity throughout the model, highlighting the seamless integration of different architectural styles.
To further enrich the project presentation, I created a Photoshop collage that encapsulated the design’s inspiration and thematic essence. This process involved gathering and blending various reference images, colours, and material textures to craft a visual narrative that complements the 3D model. I selected images that reflected the steampunk genre’s characteristic mechanical and vintage elements, combining them with modern architectural forms to underscore the fusion theme. The collage served as a mood board and an inspirational tool to refine the design’s colour palette and material choices.
