What makes our network work?

Vertex Standard Radios
These are the P-25 compatible handheld and mobile radios that were sold to JCARC club members not too long ago and are pictured below along with button descriptions and functions. We're also making the operation manuals available for these radios in a link under each photo. We'll soon have information coming about the Motorla Astra radios that were made available to our club.
Vertex Standard VX-7200 UHF Mobile
Vertex Standard VX-924 Portable
Regarding the P-924, over the course of time, they've been programmed in several different ways. If you're only using the radio on our local repeater, this information will all be correct. If it's going to used on a hotspot that handles P-25, the bottom button on the left side (facing the radio) is used for selecting zones that contain both the P-25 zones as well as the frequencies for regular UHF analog and P-25 repeaters. Club members and associates can contact Dave (KB8SCR) for information about updating your radio to the latest "codeplug" with the latest area frequencies and contact list available.
