Ham of the Year Awards 2023
The JCARC wishes to congratulate Dave (KB8SCR) for his winning of the 2023 Amateur of the Year Award. Dave has helped both the club and club members with radio and repeater issues, has brought P25 to Jay and surrounding counties, and is definitely RADIO-ACTIVE! Again, congratulations to Dave for a well-deserved award.
On a darker side, Dave's brother passed away on the day of the East Central Indiana Hamfest on July 29, 2023, where he was slated to be awarded Amatuer of the Year with that group, as well. We mourn the passing of his brother, but again wish to congratulate him on a well-derserved win. Doug Skinner, president of the ECI Hamfest also made up a plaque for him to post on his wall reminding him of our appreciation of everything that he's done for us. Thanks, Dave!
This was the first award that Dave got from our club on August 16, 2023. Most of us thought it was the only one he'd get...then...>>>
... He got another award from the ECI Hamfest that he, unfortunately, couldn't be presented with on July 23, 2023, plus a plaque that Doug Skinner made for him. Good job, Dave!
