Tech Class at Wahkiakum High School in Cathlamet

Ron Wright, W7ERY & Dave Basham, AE7RD are sponsoring a 6-week series of 1.5-hour classes on Thursday nights to teach people about amateur radio principles and prepare them to take the Technician class exam. The class will follow the ARRL Ham Radio License Manual – Level 1 Technician Book; the syllabus is as follows:
May 4 - Introduction and Chapter 1 Welcome to Amateur Radio
May 11 - Chapter 2 Radio and Signals Fundamentals and Chapter 3 Electricity, Components, and Circuits
May 18 - Chapter 4 Propagation, Antennas, and Feed Lines Chapter 5 Amateur Radio Equipment
May 25 - Chapter 6 Communication With Other Hams, Chapter Licensing Regulations
June 1 - Chapter 8 Operating Regulations, Chapter 9 Safety
June 8 - Review for test.
