This collage showcases certain tools I have learned to use these last couple of years that have helped make my digital art become physical. Screen printing, emulsion transfer, and laser engraving are all tools I have used to create physical projects from my digital collages. My art also brings the physical into the digital. I use a scanner to create scans of photos from vintage books and magazines. I incorporate these scans into my digital collages which bring a vintage aesthetic and texture usually not represented in digital artwork. Lastly I highlight my appreciation of pattern which is another element I like to incorporate into my art. William Morris’s patterns are greatly influential to me as I like to put an emphasis on patterns found in nature.
