His thick head of chestnut-red hair--clipped short at the sides--and light freckles dotting his face and arms hint at his heritage. His thick accent provides further confirmation. Standing nearly six feet tall, his lean, sinewy frame demonstrates contained strength that could surprise anyone in a fight. His pale blue eyes look stern when he's concentrating but have a peaceful and seductive quality otherwise. In keeping with the manner of his region, even when boiling mad, a forced smile is usually plastered on his face. His mood must be deciphered from his eyes.

He has a mischievous and whimsical sense of humor.

Backstory: Richard's experiences during the Great Collapse, his initial recovery with the IRP, and his subsequent rejuvenation with the BioNano tech have uniquely positioned him to help shape humanity's future. He played a key role in designing and building the five colonies in the asteroid belt, but ultimately rejected the increasingly regulated and communal living of the United Independence Coalition in favor of a solitary life in the outer fringes of the belt
