Born on April 7th, 2022 in Honolulu, Ida Kailani's actual birthplace was the campus of the University of Hawaii at Manoa. She was born on the 23rd day of the Chamorro riots, which had kept her family stranded there.
Ida had light brown hair, elegant eyebrows, and warm brown eyes. Although quite attractive, her slightly asymmetrical features prevented her from being truly stunning. She had a medium build and stood 170cm tall.
Ida was the closest they had to a specialist in alien linguistics. She had earned a doctorate in linguistics and had spent much of her long life studying the vocal interactions of animals.

Ida is married to Dr. Fergus McKay, a biochemist.
