I studied all about chickens to prepare for this contest. Meat identification, Market Hen judging, Oral Reasons, Egg Judging, much more. I started this when I was 14 and placed 3rd overall for the first time of me doing this. I did it again when I was 15 and placed 2nd overall. This allowed me to go to Nationals for Poultry Judging. I also recieved 1st place overall in reasons and won a $500 scholarship.
