For the first semester’s ACLE entry, a forum was organized to analyse the social implications of Manila City’s urban development plans and how Mayor Isko Moreno’s type of leadership impacted changes in Manila City. The goal was to provide a multi-disciplinary take on the issue at hand. We’ve invited EnP Kim Fernando Uy, an urban and regional planner who discussed politics on urban planning; Asst. Professor, Andre Quiray of Geography provided insights on urban geography; and Ms. Nenita Reli, the president of Ugnayan ng mga Samahan sa mga Parola (USAP) & Pagkakaisa ng mga Kuliglig Operations and Drivers Association who talked about the plights of the vendors and the actual situation on the ground.
