Random Vibrational Test

Test Description: The objective of this test is to verify the HDRM functionality under random vibration. This test will verify whether the HDRM mechanisms for both the wings and payload maintain the satellites envelope dimensions and deploy successfully after vibrational test using the predicted environment found on the Falcon 9 User Guide.

Resources Required:

• Tools: String, Scissors, Vibration Table, Power Supply.

• Hardware and Equipment: Model of structure with hold and release mechanisms, payload and wings.

• PPE: Personal protection equipment for tests (Jacket, gloves, safety glasses.)

Verification Activities: 

Pass Criteria: After vibrational testing is complete in all axis, the HDRMs maintain the original satellite envelope. The structure then must successfully deploy both the wings and payload.
