Detailed Instructions:
Follow these step to set up the testbed:
Assemble the pressure tank according to the Fuel Storage Tank assembly described in the ICD document.
According to the Thruster module assembly described in the ICD page:
Connect the corresponding fittings( UMS-0877 and UMS-0781) to the two outlet ports of the manifold.
Install the solenoid valve and fill-and-drain valve onto their designated fittings.
Seal all remaining open ports using hex plugs ( UMS-0965).
Connect the pilot tool to the fill and drain valve to actuate valve in reverse direction in order to vacuum the assembled tank.
Power on the vacuum pump until the tank become vacuum.
power off the pump and then attach the CO2 bottle to the pilot tool and fill the tank by gas until the pressure reaches 2.76 absolute atm(equivalent to 1.76 atm gauge pressure at lab environment).
Follow these step to verify the leakage test:
Record the initial tank pressure immediately after completing the filling process.
Monitor pressure until it stabilizes .
Calculate the pressure drop.
Calculate the remaining propellant mass in the tank.
The test PASS criterion: propellant mass loss ≤ 5% of the initial charge.
The final assembly should match the configuration shown in the figures below.
