Test Description: Test interface with reaction wheels.
Completed:
Documented by: Riley Sweeney
Resources Required:
Tools: Required tools such as cleaning equipment, chemicals, jigs, hand tools, etc.
Hardware and Equipment: UMS-0802 CDH FM CCA,
PPE: FM testing will likely occur in the clean room. Please follow all clean room safety guidelines. Please wear an ESD bracelet and use ESD mat when working with electronics.
Verification Activities: R-LIB-ADC-005-5898. R-LIB-ADC-006-6970. R-LIB-ADC-040-6975
Pass Criteria: The reaction wheels shall interface with SPI over SPI (R-LIB-ADC-005-5898. R-LIB-ADC-040-6975). The reaction wheels shall limit their current draw (R-LIB-ADC-006-6970).
This test will be performed on the FM FlatSat. The reaction wheels will connect to the SPI bus on the CDH PCB.
Connect the labelled pins on the reaction wheels to the matching ports on the CDH SPI bus.
Power on the FlatSat. You may need to wait for the current limit timeout.
Run the reaction wheel test script on CDH. This script will gently ramp up each wheel to a low speed, then ramp back down to zero, wheel by wheel. Telemetry (wheel speed, current draw, voltage, etc.) will be collected throughout.
Include information about apparatus tear down, clean up, consumables storage, and how to store test data.
Provide step-by-step instructions for data analysis, including location of data storage.
