Test Period: DD/MM/YYYY to DD/MM/YYYY
Test Equipment: Battery saddle assembly (batteries, battery heater, battery saddle, thermistors, controller), temperature probe, power supply
Major Problem:
Warning: Battery assembly will become hot, static shock may damage electronics
Recommendation: Handle with care, wear gloves if necessary. Do not place near heat-sensitive components. Wear anti-static wrist band.
Verification Activities: R-LIB-THM-006[5134], R-LIB-THM-012[5533]

Detailed Instructions:
Assemble thermistors on the batteries' desired location with thermal epoxy
Follow epoxy datasheet to cure thermal epoxy.
Clean the battery saddle with isopropyl alcohol, dry with Kimwipes
Assemble heaters to the battery saddle with the heaters' backing adhesives.
Store the battery saddle assembly in a fridge set to 10 °C overnight.
Take out the battery assembly from the fridge.
Connect battery saddle assembly to controller.
Away from heat-sensitive parts, connect the heater to a power supply.
Measure and record the heaters' current immediately.
Once heater reaches 12 °C with the thermistors' report, measure and record the heaters' current.
If the heaters' current does not suggest that the heater is turned on, stop testing and inspect connection between the heater, thermistor, and controller.
Read temperature at the thermistor locations with a thermal probe, record the thermal probe read value
Compare the thermal probe reading to the thermistors'.
If the thermistor does not report a temperature within 2°C of the thermal probe, stop testing and inspect thermistor mechanical and electrical connections.
Record thermistor temperature reading.
Once heater reaches 20 °C, measure and record the heaters' current
If the heaters' current does not suggest that the heater is turned off, stop testing and inspect connection between the heater, thermistor, and controller.
