Claiming NetID, E-Mail and Google Apps

The websites listed below will help you to set up your student accounts. You will need your University Identification Number (UIN), which is found on the second page of your letter of acceptance. You must claim your NetID and set-up your email account before registering for courses.

• Claim your NetID

  • You will need to obtain your NetID and set your password online in order to have computing access on campus. You will be asked for your name, UIN, and date of birth.

  • Go to https://netidclaim.illinois.edu/ to claim your NetID.

• Set up your Illinois email.

      • Log in to your email inbox at outlook.office365.com.
