coursework in UIUC

Academic Requirements

Students are required to take at least 12 credit hours.

Students will carry a load of 12-18 hours or 4-6 courses. Twelve hours is the minimum course load needed for full-time status which is a visa requirement. Exceptions can be made on a case by case basis. The language of instruction is English.

Registration information will be sent to students after acceptance into the program. Students are allowed to take up to 4 classes between BADM (Business Administration) and FIN (Finance) in any combination. Economics courses are available as space permits and ACCY (Accountancy) courses are not available to exchange students (exceptions can be made on a case by case basis - email studyabroad@business.illinois.edu).

Students are also welcome to take other courses offered through other departments as space permits. Courses can be found at https://courses.illinois.edu/schedule. The happiest exchange students are those who have flexibility in course selections, because we cannot guarantee space in specific classes.
