Use your NetID to log in to Course Explorer to register for courses: https://courses.illinois.edu/.
You must register for a minimum of 12 UIUC credit hours. Most classes are 3-credit hours, which means you will need to take at least four courses. This is required to maintain your J-1 visa status.
Non-Business Courses:
Students are also welcome to take other courses offered through other departments as space permits (Economics, Advertising, Statistics, Technology Entrepreneurship, language, culture, history and MANY more!). Courses can be found at https://courses.illinois.edu/schedule. The happiest exchange students are those who have flexibility in course selections, because we can-not guarantee space in specific classes.
You may begin registering for courses offered outside of the Gies College of Business such as Economics, Statistics, general education classes, language classes, etc. in mid-April (for fall participants) and early-mid November (for spring participants). Please note that some courses are restricted to specific students. If you get a registration error, please refer to the registration error messages. All courses are first-come, first-served.
If you need assistance with course registration, please contact studyabroad@business.illinois.edu.
