Pre-departure Checklist:

View your acceptance letter, which is uploaded to the documents section of your application. You will need your University Identification Number (UIN) and your SEVIS number (written in upper right corner of back page).
Make visa appointment (contact the local US consulate- you will need your SEVIS number)
Claim your NetID (will need your UIN)
Set up your Illinois email account (will need a netID)
Arrange housing (must have claimed your netID to secure university housing)
Collect Acceptance letter and DS-2019 from your home university.
Book flights (reminder-consider the date and time of the mandatory orientation-you may need to arrive a day early)
Choose courses (see your college specific page for details)
Send in your immunization forms to McKinley
Check with housing about early move-in or find a hotel room for orientation
