probably an offshoot of the very large cherry tree .

This tree does sum up the problem of poor recordings, labeling and poor observation

Initially assumed to be an apple, planted as 1 of 6 planted by Wirral Wildlife.

Then  observing  its non apple looking leaf and the word Hazel on the support stick.

Then Linda, a Volunteer, said its looks like a cherry.

So looking properly and the Ranger Ste confirmed this.
