READ-COM TOOLKITS
The support we give as families in the learning of our children is essential for them to be motivated. They may find many times throughout the day when play or everyday activities at home or away offer them the opportunity to read. However, those moments can be offered in a natural way, either inside or outside the home. That way, they will not associate that you have to learn to read in school because it is a subject that you have to pass. That is, we should children support children to read as an enjoyable activity, not because they ‘have to’. These enjoyable reading activities can be worked on at school, in a classroom, or at home, coordinatoring with the tutor.
That is why a series of resources are presented below where families can play and do activities with their children. Be it at bedtime, eating, preparing a recipe or traveling. Any time and place should be encouraged to read with children.
First, you have some recommendations on reading (infographics). This is followed by some activities that you can do with children, Following this, other activities and assessments to be undertaken by families is detailed. Finallt, a series of links is provided so you can access resources online.
