The eggs are light blue and sometimes have black spots. They will hatch after 12 to 14 days of incubation. If an egg doesn't hatch they will throw it far away so other animals won't find the nest. Robin nests are made of mud, grass, twigs, and unfortunately plastic. Robins do not usually make a nest in the same place, but may if successful. They eat bugs, snails, seeds, earthworms, and mainly berries. Robins predators are blue jays and animals like raccoons. Robins are the state bird for Connecticut. In colder weather they will migrate South though some may stay.
