The Home Support Nurse checked in this week on the phone.

She informed me that Mom's registration for Palliative Care will not change. She has exceeded her life expectancy (initially set for May 26) but that will not cause her to be removed from the registry.

This is a huge relief. The thought of having to go through another round of bureaucratic assessments (doctor, financial, social work) was overwhelming considering our little household is already stretched to maximum providing day to day care for Mom.

It has been a point of stress that needed to be compartmentalized after we learned we would have to go through a month to month review of Mom's condition in order to stay on the registry.

When Nurse signed off she said, "Talk to you in 3 months." Thank you!
