BIOGRAPHY

Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr. was born on September 13, 1957, in Batac, Ilocos Norte, to Ferdinand E. Marcos Sr. and Imelda Romualdez Marcos, and has three sisters. He received his early education at La Salle Green Hills, continued secondary studies at Worth School in West Sussex, England, and later pursued a Special Diploma in Social Studies at Oxford University, as well as an MBA at the Wharton School of Business, which he did not complete. Marcos Jr. married Louise “Liza” Cacho Araneta in 1993, and together they have three children: Ferdinand Alexander “Sandro,” Joseph Simon, and William Vincent “Vinny.” He assumed the presidency of the Philippines on June 30, 2022, and continues to serve as the nation’s current leader.
