The Dwarves of the Fog Peaks live within the borders of Galt, but exist largely removed from the matters of humans. Due to the proximity to this dwarven center, there are an above average number of dwarves throughout Galt, especially in Azurestone.
Elves are given a wide berth by the citizens of Galt, but do not face the intense scrutiny many other foreigners face. The citizens of Galt do not wish to provoke the elves of Kyonin, lest they decide to take any unwanted interest in Galtan affairs.
Gnomes have become rather scarce in Galt. Their natural curiosity and mischievous natures can make life in Galt difficult, but there are those that can manage their impulses or channel them into a useful skill can get by.
Though halfings have been considered free citizens since the beginning of the beginning Red Revolution. Old habits die hard, and many halflings are still relegated to servile rolls. Many others have used their natural low profile and dexterity to make a living less scrupulously.
Tieflings have a complicated relationship with Galt. Their fiendish features naturally draw much suspicion from the populace, and no shortage have been sent to the Blades. However, tieflings have the most reason to hate Cheliax of any race. Many came to Galt early in the Revolution and to cast off the yoke of the Empire of Devils. As a result of these contributions, tieflings are welcome, but still draw some suspicion due to their fiendish appearance.
GM NOTE: Since there is conflicting information on D20PFSRD and the Paizo PRD, about tiefling ages, we will be using the Paizo PRD which states tieflings have the same expected lifespan as humans.
