When Galt’s first Chelish Archduke was appointed he demolished and rebuilt Isarn's western gate. A new gate was a major undertaking, lasting over a decade, the gatehouse was built anew by Galt's finest architects in the classic Chelish style. For centuries, the grand western gate of Isarn stood as a symbol of Galtan pride. Even through the revolution, the gate stood as testament to the city’s resilience.
When forces from Woodsedge marched on Isarn to install the Council of Enlightenment, Le Levant was destroyed in the conflict. Korran Goss boasts about the repairs on the gate, but talented contractors are scarce and the fine details would require far too many hours of Galt's most skilled craftsman.
Abandoned for decades after the start of the Red Revolution, this hospital was reopened by The Sisters of the Everbloom. The only hospital in the city, Our Lady of Liberation has always met the needs of the city's sick and injured. Despite Milani's disfavor among Revolutionary Councils, the unique views of The Sisters along with the desperately needed care they provide have allowed them to operate unimpeded since the hospital's re-dedication.
Worshipers of Desna, Hubert and Danielle Lavoie, established this inn to protect those few brave travelers whose journey brings them to Isarn. Located in the plaza of Le Levant, the Inn offers travelers a warm bed and meal. Though they welcome all coming to town, they advise travelers to stay no more than is absolutely necessary.
Once one of the largest Abadarn temples in Avistan, this bank oversaw the lucrative import/export trade in Isarn. Diminished during the Revolution and abandoned once the clergy were expelled in the wake of the Golden Council's scandal. The abandoned temple was snatched up by Cailenites that rededicated the temple, naming it The Cider Vault. The Cider Vault has ample room, acting as tenement housing, popular among Isarn's poor for a roof over their heads and vaults to store their belongings.
Most of the underground vaults have been already been picked clean, but now store food, drink and other sundries. There are several rumors surrounding the vaults. Some claim there are still treasures sealed beneath the Cider Vault. Others tell tales of The Red Raven breaking into a vault to steal an artifact he used in his campaign against the Cabinet of Skulls.
An inn and tavern favored by the few bold merchants from the River Kingdoms that trade with Isarn. Though any are welcome to dine here, no shortage of brawls have spilled into the streets when a Galtan fails to respect the River Freedoms. Known for having a rough crowd, there have been rumors that some of the “merchants” are pirates here to plunder Galt’s culture.
The River Home is frequented by supporters of the Confederate Party, viewing the River Kingdoms as a template for Galt's cities.
Decades ago, Isarn was envied for their expertly-crafted goods and art. Masters of every discipline would ship their wares all over Avistan and to ports beyond. To house the many exports, several blocks of warehouses were constructed near the Kantele. These warehouses, now abandoned, are flop-houses for Isarns drug addicts. These poor souls are so docile and unresponsive, they have been mistaken for zombies.
