This remodeled Chelish villa serves as the premier venue for all games of chance in the city. The ground floor has been converted into large open floor filled to the brim with various copper and silver games. The staff maintains The Promise so fastidiously that one forgets how dilapidated the rest of the city is. Pit-bosses refer high-rollers to private tables upstairs, and troublemakers are promptly and forcefully shown the exit. Guests can readily find credit here.
This old temple to Sarenrae, known for its ornate stonework suns and Garundi architecture, now houses the radical Cult of the Cleansing Sun. This violent cult embraces Sarenrae's punishment of the irredeemable and is quick to call for their deaths of the accused. The Cult views the Final Blades as the ultimate way to mete out punishment. Their services often overflow into the streets due to the very vocal proselytization efforts of their head priest, Norman Jaubert.
Though the city originally had many followers of Aroden, the Inheritor has not enjoyed the same following. This crumbling temple serves the ever-waning followers of Iomedae. Despite its moderately-sized congregation, the church has few funds for outreach and few clergy to minister them.
Torag's temple is expertly and proudly maintained, by a congregation of dwarves that have built their community around the temple. The Toragdans will politely treat with outsiders, but regard them with due suspicion. For their own, this close-knit community of dwarves and other followers of Torag have an implicit trust that Isarn's other citizens cannot afford.
The group's dependable goods and fair dealings have earned them a sterling reputation.
Located in a refurbished riverfront manor, The Plunging Blade is billed as the most decadent and expensive brothel in the city. This house of inquiry's claim to fame is its uncanny ability to uncover and fulfill any customer's desires. Located across the Kantele from La Scène, the Plunging Blade is run by the flirtatious rumormonger Madame Madeline Roulier. While she herself does not entertain clients at the brothel, there are rumors she occasionally grants personal "favors" to some of her favorite tipsters, which she does not deny. She is more than willing to trade gossip, but she never compromises the privacy of her clients.
This small estate was a modest villa for some distant relatives of a Chelish noble. The estate is now an orphanage run by Rosa Bonheur of the Golarion Global Theatre. The children of Por Encourager live in relative comfort: fed daily, mended clothing, even their sheets are washed on occasion. The orphanage has had apparent effort put in to maintenance, but the roughly three dozen children that live there keep the building well-worn.
