Creativity and Scholarship: Using digital tools to create.
Communication and Collaboration: Being able to share ideas and work effectively together.
Curation: Organizing your digital content.
The overview:
We discussed how to properly search for information online and tailor our search queries to what we're looking for. We did a digital footprint activity where this was showcased. When I look up just my first and last name barely anything popped up. However, as I tailored my search to find more information, I found things about myself I didn't even know existed on the internet.
An introduction into generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs). I learned that you need to be very intentional about what you're trying to get out of AI. It can make mistakes and be "confidently wrong" so it's imperative that we understand what we're asking it.
We learned more about computers! Hardware is the physical part of a computer while software is the program that keeps it running. They work hand in hand at ensuring a computer works.
We learned about the parts of hardware. There are 5 major parts of every computer: the motherboard, the CPU, the RAM, storage, and the power supply.
We learned about different file types and folders that make it so much easier to organize the information on our computer. The biggest example of this is us submitting the pictures of our notes under JPEG or JPG as those are the file extension for photographs.
