Let's Reflect on Unit 0: Orientation & Introduction to Information Systems
My first task was setting up my notebook for this class. Although it is a technology course, I learned that writing things out can improve memorization more effectively than typing alone. I also researched and defined several unfamiliar tech terms, including waffle, hamburger, and breadcrumb navigation.
We explored Brightspace, Outlook, and SIMnet. In Outlook, I learned several useful features that have improved how I use the platform. For example, I created a signature for my school email that I will continue to use. I also learned how to organize emails by creating folders, which helps reduce inbox clutter and makes it easier to manage messages by topic.
Unit 0 covers the basics of everyday technology skills that are often overlooked but make a significant difference in efficiency and organization.
