We're proud to report that Ms. Deepti Agrawal's debut as Grand Marshall for the City of Bothell was a huge success! As Grand Marshall, she had the honor of leading the city's annual 4th of July Parade as the opening act.
Ms. Agrawal also had artists from the studio walk with her while holding their Madhubani artworks proudly. Participants also waved both Indian and American flags, and passed out candy to parade onlookers.
Getting to represent both India and Madhubani painting so openly and at such a high level is a huge accomplishment, and we applaud all of Ms. Agrawal's hard work earning this opportunity!

Congratulations to Arianna Sinha, Sahasra Nagandla, Anugraha Ganesh and Advait Parikh for representing our school at the Redmond Children's Fair. This was our fourth consecutive year of running successful booths at the Redmond Children’s Fair!
Our artists worked for approximately 45 hours to prepare the assortment of Madhubani-style soaps, candles, earrings, wooden spatulas, wooden trays, mini DIY canvases, and coasters that they sold at the fair. Ultimately, Arianna provided a glimpse of how their diligence led to the highlight of this experience, sharing how their “hard work paid off when the mayor and council member came to our stall to appreciate and buy our products.”

This year, our school was invited to set up a stall at the annual Spreading Smiles Children’s Business Fair, where children get to practice their entrepreneurial skills by displaying and selling products.
Two students from our school, Prayan Mittal and Anugraha Ganesh, ran the debut stall to represent our art school’s public speaking class, SpeakTank, at the event. Both volunteers worked hard prior to the fair to source materials and prepare language and word-based games that they would market to the visitors at their stall. They also arranged prizes for the winners of those games.
Then, on July 6th, the day of the fair, came. Through the heat of a midsummer day, Anugraha and Prayan worked hard, teaching and engaging the public. The SpeakTank stall had many visitors, with both adults and kids trying out games to improve their confidence and public speaking skills. The volunteers’ hard work did not go unnoticed, making it an enjoyable time for not only the visitors but the volunteers too!

The Bothell Art Walk provided a great opportunity for art students to display their artwork in downtown Bothell! The artists explained Mithila art and Madhubani to the guests. They were all amazed by the amazing work of all the young artists!
Each artist displayed two art pieces. They all worked hard to explain Madhubani designs and assist in the hands-on art workshop for visitors. The workshop involved creating beautiful bookmarks or coasters for the guests to take home. Overall, it was a very successful event!
