This month we were delighted to have four connected workshops delving deeper into the Cheriyal art form. Cheriyal is a traditional art form from the village of Cheriyal, known for its scroll and mask paintings. It is similar to Madhubani in that it also focuses on vivid colors, imaginative styles, and rural themes.
This workshop was conducted by the great artist Shri Vinay Kumar, who explained how to paint in the Cheriyal style during the four days of workshops. If you did not get a chance to attend, here is an image of the finished product from the workshop!

Kathith's next workshop will be another Pattachitra workshop with artist Shri Ashish Das, where you’ll create a timeless piece depicting Bhakt Hanuman.
As taken from Kathith's Instagram, "Hanuman, one of the Chiranjeevis, is believed to still reside on Earth as a Vignaharta, the remover of obstacles. 🕉️ What better way to begin the New Year than by embracing his divine blessings through art? 🖌️"
The sessions will be held on January 25th, January 26th, and February 1st. Spots are limited, so make sure to register now!
