Official Cattle Working
Cow sense is a trait originally seen in the Djibb cats, who showed a clear affinity for herding whilst also being unafraid of taking on feral predators in between. A good working Djibb is often compared to a shepherd dog. With a gain in popularity, the ability to work livestock has slowly been brought to other shedu builds. Similar to cutting in horses and herding in dogs, the cat is taught to control livestock using their body. The best cats for this job are those that can read body language and compensate for it quickly by making sharp turns and abrupt stops.
Benefit: Cancel the initial rolls for falls, fatal and serious injuries, in livestock working competitions. “Know your cat” section will give “cow sense” benefit - which gives cat additional points (1-5) in relevant competitions.
Conditions: Initial training is recommended within a fenced arena, but once a cat is knowledgeable enough training can proceed out on the field with active livestock. Western style tack (ie: with a horn on the saddle) is required.
