Every day holds the potential to introduce something unusual, unexpected, or entirely new into your life. Take today, for instance—you probably never imagined that a phenomenon like the underground djibb market even existed.
At first glance, it might sound like a relic from the wild days of the seventies, back when illegal Shedu races dominated the shadows. But djibbs? Their story is far more intricate. This particular subspecies has only recently been reluctantly pulled into the light of semi-legitimacy.
Why the hesitation? Well, it took nothing less than Rockport’s own police force to start popularizing these remarkable creatures, leaving the Elseviers with no choice but to officially recognize them.
Yet even with this recognition, the djibb trade remains tangled in complications. The police don’t have an endless supply of animals ready for breeding, and the specter of inbreeding looms ominously over every Shedu population. On top of that, fresh coat patterns and unique physical traits never fail to catch the eye, fueling demand.
This is why the semi-legal Djibb Market isn’t just surviving—it’s thriving. Once a refuge for shady characters from the African continent with fingers in all kinds of illegal pies, the market has evolved. Today, it draws a mix of enthusiasts and small-time cattery owners who lack the resources to navigate the complex world of official shedu circuit and all the registration processes and fees. That said, the criminal element hasn’t disappeared—it’s just become less conspicuous.
The Djibb Market isn’t a single location. It’s an event. A phenomenon.
Sales take place at ever-shifting venues, announced for specific days. Entry is exclusive—you can’t just stumble upon it. Invitations are the only way in, and whoever extends one is staking their reputation on you not being a cop or a representative of the SPCO.
Once inside, the selection is staggering. Djibbs of every kind are up for grabs—adults, juveniles, kittens, overworked veterans, well-trained animals, and even wild specimens caught in Yellowstone or imported straight from Africa. Naturally, the price for such individuals will always be a steep one..
And if you’re in need of paperwork to keep things on the up-and-up? Don’t worry. There are plenty of dealers ready to sort you out with convincing forgeries.
So, step inside, browse the selection, soak up the atmosphere, and, of course, spend your money. After all, that’s what the Djibb Market is all about
HOW TO USE YOUR DJIBB-MARKET TICKET
Djibb market tickets have no expiration date. So you can keep one as long as you want while you are waiting for the perfect djibb to come.
You can find all djibbs, available at the djibb-market, here: - SM folder -
You can find their RDS price in the ownership LOG
If the cat has an owner listed there - it means the cat was already claimed, but was not cleared out of the folder yet.
Djibbs bought through the market do not bring any sale\trade restrictions with them. You can sell\trade\gift the djibbs that you’ve bought through the market as you like.
REGULATIONS:
Each djibb-market ticket\token gives you the right to buy one djibb with RDs during each “season” of the market being open.
Djibb-market season is 1 month(starting on the day all of the previous requests proceed, closing on 28th + 24h grace period). All requests that are put in, are proceeded in the beginning of the next month.
If you have more than one djibb market ticket, you can use the next ticket after the requests for the previous months proceed.
So one month = one ticket use.
Djibb-market works on a principle of first come, first serve. So whoever claims the djibb first and is able to pay for it - gets the djibb.
You should have enough RDs in your bank at the moment of your claim being processed. Or else your claim will be cancelled and the cat will be put back into the djibb-market pool.
No rds-payment plans are available for market purchases.
IMPORTANT! on the deadlines of the LOG:
Each month's LOG comment will have a starting date\time (which will shift in roughly 6h step each new "season" to get every part of the globe somewhat comfy time at least at some point) and closing date\time with a timer.
The LOG itself does not get the markings of being opened or closed. Only proceeded.
It will be getting a "closed" comment only when\if we will run out of dogs in the market.
So it is always 28th of the month + 24 grace period.
