Street Racing
Back to ; Eventing | Rockport Daily
Street races are happening all over the world, ofcourse.
But here we focus our attention on what goes on in the very heart of shedu streetracing - on the streets of Rockport City, Florida.
CATS
Any cat can enter street races, yet obviously Classic Thoroughbred Shedu Cats (and Arabians) have the advantage in most cases.
Every non-streetbred cat will receive - 10 points penalty from the start.
So that is a smart idea to go for street races with a street bred cat.
( This does not affect Police Cats, of-course )
Participating and winning in various street races will allow your cat to unlock specific traits, that will help them on the racing routes. These traits are not hereditary. They can pass on only with help of special tokens, that can be won in street races.
RIDERS
STREET RACERS
ROCKPORT MOUNT POLICE DEPARTMENT
Street racing, of course, is illegal. Yet that does not cancel out the fact, that there are aces, who succeed incredibly in this field. Who put their own life on this iffy, but well paid "job". Street racers often have no special education and are ordinary people, who learned the ways... in a hard way, figuring out everything on their own, trying to deal with street-bred cats. However, it is also true that people, who find themselves involved in shedu street racing industry come from various different backgrounds. And some of them are not just adrenaline junkies or greedy minds, but also sometimes they happen to be ex-shedu jockeys, trainers or even breeders.
There are 5 ranks, that indicate racer`s experience and how good they actually are. By reaching ranks, racer unlocks various abilities, rights for certain actions and gets other bonuses.
You can read more about STREET RACER`S RANKS here.
Any handler character can take part in street racing. But if your handler is having a career as the shedu jockey or the rider in official events, make sure they have their getaway cards ready, as if they will get caught by police, they will be disqualified from the official circuit and all of their achievements, skills, and abilities will be scratched.
Though getaway cards normally are available only as rewards in explorations or street races, on occasion you can buy one with RDs at our street racing store
Serving in the police is one tough job. And pretty specific one. The only police regiment that has Shedus is one, that was created specially to deal with Shedu racers on the streets. However, mounted Shedu police proved themselves worthy in crowd managing and keeping order on streets during big events. And sometimes Shedu police can be very useful in cases of car thefts and other street businesses.
Also, there is one squad that uses Djibbs. These multipurpose creatures won`t be good in chasing racing Shedus on the streets, but they are incredibly efficient in a searching job and are very good defenders. And it is way better to have a Djibb as a protection against Djibbs and Shedus, than only GSD.
As a profession, work in police won`t give a lot of benefits, instead, it will give a whole new field for action. Some unique activities and ability to discover areas that are not available to any other class, perhaps, except the military.
SPECIFIC THINGS:
Having a police rank, you can attend any shows in your police uniforms, no matter what the regulations of show say.
There are 5 POLICE RANKS, that will give the policeman wider set of abilities and opportunities. Higher the rank, the bigger menace the police team becomes for street racers.
Also, police officers have access to unique items, that can be used against street racers effectively. Normally these come as rewards for completed tasks and caught street racers, but on occasion, you can buy those for RDS from Police Department Store
TERRITORY
ROCKPORT DISTRICTS
Districts of Rockport always were a ground for the neverending battle for supremacy. Gangs were racing each other to determine who "owns" the territory.
And when you own it, air begins to smell with opportunities...
When you own a district, you (and your gang) will get higher rate of success in explorations, you will get an opportunity to find rare items and, of course, you will become a tough target for police in your home area. And in races, that will run through your territory you and your gang will have an advantage over others. To claim a district rider needs to face a current top dog, who owns it, in the racing duel.
You can find the current list of "top dogs" for each district here:
