For the 51st edition of Leviathan Monthly, in honor of celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month- one of the league’s more prominent sponsored fighters- Yolanda Da Noia takes the main cover along with some fairly familiar-looking skulls! Leviathan had many worthy candidates for this month’s cover- but Yolanda was simply the best pick to represent Hispanic Heritage Month! It was simply a no-brainer and if anyone wants to be a doubter- challenge her in the ring and she'll prove herself there as well!
As one half of Romantic Rampage, Primrose (Aphrodite) Mckenna proves that she can be a viable wrestler WITHOUT Ares being present for the match. When taking on Aleksandra (Prometheus) Petrov in a match, the Estonian quickly showed the Love Goddess what REAL wrestling is and made her submit with a Rodeo Stretch for the victory. But rather than let her former opponent sulk in her defeat, Aleksandra picked Primrose and gave her some pointers on how to improve- Showing not all Leviathan wrestlers are bullies to each other~
While Leviathan was sponsoring a local venue hosting a smaller concert, Ms. Scylla would make a surprise appearance. Fans attending assumed that she wanted to make an addressment and thank them for all attending- which WAS true… but also the CEO wanted to come out to figure out where her CEO assistant and GM (In training) Juniper Nayle had wandered off to. One thing turns into another and now Ms. Scylla is singing on stage to close the show…And she did figure out where Juniper was pretty quickly due to all of her screaming during her performance. Let’s just say, Ms. Scylla taught this slacker a lesson or two for ditching her after everyone left.
We are back with more Leviathan content- once again featuring Aphrodite! But she isn’t the main focus for this particular bout, as long beloved restaurant chain Octodog announced that they’ve made a cross-promotional deal with Leviathan! What this deal entails is that their main mascots (The Octopack) will compete within the squared circle. A group of wrestlers that fans believed were nothing more than fake wrestling actresses for the commercials! Yet when Seki Rinako, aka Lady Unagi stepped into the ring, she proved that she was anything BUT an actress! Quickly dispatching Aphrodite with a Dragonsleeper, Seki would make an announcement that due to her debut win that all Unagi-themed products on the Octodog menu will be 25% off for every purchase for the next 3 days! Was this simply beginner’s luck or does The Octopack really have the skills to compete in the Leviathan?!? And will the others of the group show up soon? Stay tuned to find out!
Ash Hotshot, the Hotheaded sister of The Hotshots tag team is back at her old ways again- talking smack to those she probably shouldn’t. Her next opponent was definitely one she should have avoided opening her big mouth to as she took on Mary Kurat aka Anglerfish. This particular masked fighter has been gaining a reputation for… “silencing” those who talk way too much for their own good with her trusty glowsticks. After they agreed to a No Holds Barred match- Angler quickly showed Ash why she shouldn’t talk so big of a game…
What was once supposed to be a match between Leviathan’s current Jewel of Atlantis Champion, Akari Ito taking on FWG’s Frici during Akari’s open challenge tour- turned into pandemonium as the fashionista would apparently no-show the main event. But in reality, a familiar and VERY SUSPENDED Koi Fish would emerge on the entrance stage. Dawning once Akari’s former opponent jacket- it was clear Mizuko Kajiwara had dealt with the previous challenger and instead substituted herself into the main event! Seeing that it was an open challenge, Akari fought her just the same as anyone else.
In an intense match, where Mizuko wasn’t just going for the possibility of getting back into Leviathan after capturing the main belt- NO, the Koi Fish was intending to INJURE Akari. But, Sea Turtle stood strong against this sadist’s effort and prevailed in victory by locking in a Piledriver submission hybrid maneuver to secure the KO win! Thus another solid title defense by the champion- who can possibly dethrone Akari Ito at this rate?!?
In our everyday life we have to juggle various responsibilities and truly utilize the opportunities we are given. Imagine one War Horse’s surprise to finally be given the invitation to the Excalibur Elite tournament- but it’s against Veik Jomes a competitor who wishes to be indoctrinated into the Furies division. Arguably, it was a great situation for Priscilla- oddly booked conveniently in her favor…-but nevertheless, War Horse wasn’t complaining as seen from above, she can pull double duty. Priscila was satisfied with Veik’s performance thus bringing her board to the squad and was one of the last few late qualifiers to the tournament. As the Furies get stronger due to this weird booking as of late- some are starting to ask, is there a conspiracy going on that most aren’t seeing? Is there someone/s in the shadows tipping the scales in the faction’s favor? All we can say is stay tuned~
