For the 51st edition of Leviathan Monthly, in honor of celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month- one of the league’s more prominent sponsored fighters- Yolanda Da Noia takes the main cover along with some fairly familiar-looking skulls! Leviathan had many worthy candidates for this month’s cover- but Yolanda was simply the best pick to represent Hispanic Heritage Month! It was simply a no-brainer and if anyone wants to be a doubter- challenge her in the ring and she'll prove herself there as well!
In another suspicious circumstance of Leviathan Booking a current Excalibur Qualifier envelope holder, Chiara (Pearl) Riccardesi was on the cusp of choosing who her opponent was going to be to qualify for the Excalibur Tournament. But during her press conference, one Rosita Valentina aka La Bandida would rudely interrupt and proclaim that she was going to be Chiara’s opponent. (Which she wasn’t and just self-inserted herself into the bout)! Before Pearl could get this changed, a Leviathan Higherup had already approved of this match! Thus forcing Chiara to face La Bandida and due to some cheating shenanigans that the referee somehow missed- Pearl LOST her envelope to the bandit via a Lockjaw variation of her Valentina Death Wish submission hold! It would seem the Leviathan conspiracy is looking increasingly real with every match…
In a shocking announcement that has the entire Leviathan social media stirring- Akari Ito’s next challenger has officially been announced! Known as “The Face of Leviathan”, one of the biggest stars that Leviathan has on in its roster, and the leader of the Leviathan Elite; Umiko Sakaguchi will be the next challenger to take Akari during her historic championship run. Will the Sea Serpent be the one to finally best Sea Turtle and claim her first-ever championship within Leviathan? Or will Akari’s win streak continue, and cement herself as one of the greatest standing champions within Leviathan history?!?
Leviathan showcasing an opening match featuring two prove-it wrestlers in Sammy (Neptune) Wang versus Ebba (Gulper Eel) Brännström, many fans had low expectations coming into this match. In the aftermath, their expectations were greatly underachieved than. Just moments into the match, Neptune decided to take off and throw his signature into the crowd. When he turned back around- Gulper Eel while using Neptune’s own finisher; a Double Knee Facebreaker and promptly knocked him out with it. Thus not only stealing a win but Ebba stole Sammy’s finisher that she now calls her SlackJaw. In an interview after the match, Neptune was reported to say things on the line of “ Something needs to change…Or I believe my future in this company will not be coming to an end if I don’t do this.” What’s next for Neptune and will this be one of the last times we see him wrestle in the black and blue brand?!? Stay tuned to find out!
Within the early stages of The Pond, Leviathan had early bangers that springboarded the division to be one of the most competitive yet entertaining development sectors of the company. One of the first batch of matches that came out included a First-to-Five Match between the debuting DJ Guppy vs the Samoan Sweetheart Teuila Masina! In a match filled with submissions, pinfalls, and KOs- it would end with a Double KO as both competitors attempted a Bearhug on the other thus knocking the other out. With the match tied at 2-2 it was therefore ended as a draw!
Leviathan’s possible “Match of the Year” between the (JOA) Champ Akari Ito vs the challenger Umiko Sakaguchi is HERE! Summarizing how Part 1 went, it seem both fighters are quite evenly matched. Neither was able to complete a move on the other! In a beautiful unscripted choreography of dodging and weaving from the other’s move- it came to a halt as both managed to try a kick that was simultaneously blocked by the other! With how even these two are, who do you all think will walk away as Leviathan’s Jewel of Atlantis Champion, stay tuned to find out!
