ASP-???:

ASP-002 is the collective designation of several interrelated anomalous phenomena.

Throughout recorded history, ASP-015 have been commonly mistaken for ASP-???-2 and potentially account for all ASP-???-2 sightings.

ASP-???-1 Shadow People:

Humanoid creatures who are described as pitch black. A subject near a shadow person can sense the creature's presence. The darker the entity is the more confident it is and subsequently the brighter it is the less confident they are. This applies to the diurnal cycle as well, where the creature is weaker and less confident during the day and is more powerful and confident at night. Shadow people feed on fear and anxiety. Special Containment Procedures include subjects targeted by this ASP avoiding acting alarmed, the subject ignoring the instance of this creature, powering on lights, the subject watching electronic entertainment or distracting themselves in any way, the subject laughing, or watching comedy networks, and having multiple subjects in the vicinity. This ASP can create the effect known as persistence of vision.

ASP-???-2 The Hide-Behind:

The-Hide-Behind may be a different type of creature or a subvariant of Shadow People. It is nocturnal. The main difference being environment as the Hide Behind is the name used for the forest variant which lures subjects deeper into the forest. It is known to prey upon humans and are responsible for human disappearances.
