The RCMP is Canada's national police service. Their stated goal is to attempt, at the community, provincial, territorial and federal levels, to prevent crime, enforce the law, investigate offences, keep Canadians, and their interests, safe and secure, and assist Canadians in emergency situations/incidents. They also provide specialized training for police officers, conduct international policing activities, including peacekeeping, and share intelligence with their trusted partners to support investigations, as well as disrupt and dismantle criminal operations. Their jurisdiction lies in Contract and Indigenous Policing, Federal Policing, and Specialized Policing Services. They work in over 700 detachments in 150 communities across the country. We also provide policing services in more than 600 Indigenous communities.
This government organization has been known to play an active role in cover-ups of ASPs and certain crimes.
