Kathmandu, August 24
A crisis involving the leak of phone conversations involving a discussion of allocating education budget to different sectors was shocking which caused havoc on August 24 at LP-2 committee.
"The education minister should be taken out of the post due to the misuse of education funds in different regions, which can’t be accepted," the delegate of Sher Bahadur Deuba said. "The funds designated for education must be spent solely on education." After further investigation, it was found that the transfer of the economic funds was sent to the Nepali Congress.
“Sher Bahadur Deuba was the most responsive delegate.”, the chair of LP-2 said, “and now, due to the further notice, the delegates' party was found to be excited about education funds, which led to interesting debates,”
Raju Bir Mahaser's delegate (The Nepali Congress) said that the Maoist party is not the only one related to this matter any more, the fellow parties are also related.
"The education funds have not only been sent to the Nepal Congress party for corruption,” the delegate of Puspa Kamal Dahal's said, "but they have also been sent so that they can be distributed equally in other sectors,"
However, Bishal Bhattrai's delegate questions and demands that the budget proof be distributed in other sectors.
This crisis was very effective and caused a greater impact on the committee than the crisis that was presented in the first session which attracted more visitors to the committee.
