“Great journalism will always attract readers. The words, pictures, and graphics that are the stuff of journalism have to be brilliantly packaged; they must feed the mind and move the heart.”-Rupert Murdoch
Journalism is the art and science of gathering, compiling, and presenting news via various forms of media. It's the duty of the journalists and Press members to provide unbiased and factual accounts of events for the sake of authenticity, avoiding the spread of propaganda and personal prejudice.
Presenting myself as Press Head of TESMUN2025, I feel as though it's my responsibility as well as my deputies' to look after my committee members and ensure the news we are producing is not a reflection of the authors' bias but instead, something that future excelors can look at and take into account accurately. The press is the bridge between the general public and the political side of the nation, and it's on the shoulders of our committee to strengthen that bridge.
TESMUN is an engaging and immersive experience that can help the youth of now prepare themselves for future discourses involving the well-being of our people. I wish for nothing but the best for our delegates, the holders of our tomorrow, as I fulfill my role as Press Head.
"Journalism is literature in a hurry." — Matthew Arnold
As TESMUN 2025's Deputy Press Head, I feel truly honored. It was a great opportunity to be in the PRESS team. Every headline, every story, and every photo carried the burden of weight of accuracy and the euphoria of storytelling. We chased facts, captured moments, and crafted stories that informed and brought together our readers.
Every day, we assembled stories from different committees, debates, resolutions, and issues that mattered. My task was to ensure that these stories not only read well but were also equitable and informative. I spent considerable time with journalists, collaborating to toughen their stories, and encouraging everyone to uphold the highest standards of journalism. It wasn't always the simple news, articles or the journalism we typed or wrote, but the commitment, teamwork, and enthusiasm of my team members made every struggle worthwhile. We showed collectively that words, when used with purpose, can travel fast and leave a deep impact.
I appreciate the opportunity to have been Deputy Press Head, and I hope for such romps in storytelling and pursuit of truth in the future.
Thank you.

" Alone we can do so little , together we can do so much"- Helen Keller
This quote perfectly sums up the attitude that reflects the press team. As a Deputy Head, l have dealt with many cases where collectively, an incredibly effective and fast-paced environment has been transformed into one that runs seamlessly. Juggling coverage, meeting deadlines and developing young reporters to make sure every article is accurate and understandable add up to assembling strings of little-known facts into a valuable addition for readers in the news pages.
TESMUN becomes a hot cauldron of ideas uniting into the world and fusing together different voices. And it is our teamwork ethic in the press group that keeps us passionate , flexible and energized through all the rush. I am learning the tremendous power of words on this journey , to bind, to enlighten and deceive. In doing so, we are proving that strong teamwork can produce an extraordinary amount of journalism , even on as tight a schedule as ours.
