It is not enough to win a war; it is more important to organize the peace.” -Aristotle
We officially welcome you to the expedition of TES-MUN2025, in the rousing committee of DISEC, where disarmament, global challenges and threats to peace that affect the international community and seeks out solutions to the challenges in the international security regime are dealt with. In a world that is marked by conflicts looming near our doorsteps, where humanity is near-unrecognizable, where the sense of purpose and happiness is almost unobtainable, it is time for us all to step up. We must pursue global peace, and work towards putting an end to the cycle of war and temporary peace.
Its an honor to stand before great minds eager to learn so much and experience this MUN. We DIAS panel provide you with this study guide in hopes that it brings a basic foundation towards the delegate’s further research. Keep in mind that the study guide only knows so much, and the delegates are fully expected to conduct their own research. This is just basic information to get all the delegates started, and will be updated after every session.
We seek for delegates who aren’t afraid to speak up, and engage, accompanied by rigorous research. Remember, hard work beats everything. Research with dedication, speak with confidence, learn to read the room when required, and most importantly, know how to balance between fun and work.
I am proud to stand as the vice-chair and hope you bunch are proud to be delegates of the DISEC committee. Let us create an experience suitable for all. Let us debate not only for the sake of it but for the people struggling and wanting their voices to be heard. Let us make the purpose of DISEC a reality.

Disarmament is not naïve. It is necessary. And it is achievable." -Angela Kane
Welcome to TES-MUN 2025, and to the spirited committee of DISEC , where the world's most urgent challenges do not whisper, but roar. Here, we don't just discuss about rules and speeches , we analyze real challenges that affect millions of lives and put our minds to finding a solution
The world today feels like it’s walking on a fragile bridge between conflict and calm. Weapons grow heavier, war reaches all corners of the world. But inside these walls, your voice carries weight it can strengthen that fragile balance, turning anxiety into action, and fear into hope.
DISEC isn’t just a committee. It’s a platform where powerful ideas are born — not to tear each other down, but to create lasting change. What you say here matters. Your thoughts can influence how nations approach conflict, how trust is built, and how a safer world becomes possible.
But beyond the rules and resolutions, this is your moment to truly dive into the experience — to step into your country's shoes, engage with others, and grow through every conversation and clash of ideas. So don’t hold back. Speak up with confidence, represent your nation with sincerity, and let your voice leave a mark on this committee.
So speak with courage. Listen with purpose. And above all, debate not to defeat, but to defend a better future , one where disarmament is more than a dream, and peace is more than a pause between conflicts.
