Dear Students,
It is a joy to see you all take part in the Model United Nations here at Excelsior. Each one of you stepped into a space where ideas, leadership, and collaboration came alive. MUN is not just about debating global issues; it is about discovering more about yourself and how you can shape the world around you.
What made this MUN truly special was that every student contributed in some way—whether as a delegate raising their voice in debate, dais members guiding discussions, a press reporter capturing the day’s highlights, a logistics member ensuring everything ran smoothly, or a leader taking responsibility as head of a team or as General Secretary. Each role mattered, and together you created an experience that was meaningful and memorable.
In the process, you learned valuable lessons. Preparation and effort were at the heart of your success—researching, writing, organizing, or planning all required commitment and discipline.
Hard work may sometimes feel tiring, but it is what helps you build the confidence and skills you need for the future.
At the same time, this MUN reminded you that success comes not only from effort but also from balance. Managing your time, focusing on priorities, and taking responsibility for yourself and your role are all skills that will serve you well in school and in life.
Perhaps the most powerful part of MUN was the way you practiced teamwork - listening, respecting different perspectives, and finding ways to work together even when you disagreed.
Whether in the committee rooms, the press room, or behind the scenes, you showed that leadership is not about standing above others, but about building with others.
As you look back on this event, I encourage you to carry these lessons forward. True success is not measured only by awards or recognition, but by becoming someone who works hard, lives with balance, and treats others with respect. If you continue on this path, you will not only achieve success, but also live a life that is joyful and meaningful.
I am deeply proud of all of you for the dedication, creativity, and spirit you brought to MUN.
May these experiences guide you in everything you do in the future.
With warm regards,
Sheetal Rana
