As I walk to this podium, I am reminded of something I truly believe: A single voice, when spoken with courage and clarity, can spark change across a world of silence. Today, each one of you has the power to raise that voice, to turn ideas into actions, and to shape your own path as a diplomat.
A very warm and pleasant good morning to the Honorable Chairperson of The Excelsior School and Guardian of this family, Madam Sheetal Rana, Honorable Administrative In-Charge Mr .Niraj Bikram Rana, respected Principal Mr. Prashant Rajak, MUN Advisor Mr. Govinda Gautam, In-charges, Supervisors, my respected teachers, fellow dais panel members, dynamic delegates, the press and IT committee, the logistics team, and all the invitees who are here today.
Standing here as your Secretary-General, it's not just an honor or a responsibility, it is the realization of a quiet dream that I've carried for many years. But this moment isn't mine alone. It belongs to everyone who believed in me, motivated me, confronted me, and helped me become who I am. To my mentors, teammates, friends, and those who trusted me with this role, thank you so much. I still remember sitting in the audience during my first experience at TESMUN three years back, when I was here for the poem recitation, looking at the podium from afar, wishing one day I could stand here. That hope became determination, and determination turned into action. 12 MUNs till now, from sketching debates as a cartoonist, representing nations as a delegate, guiding others as a Chief Advisor, to now leading this conference, each step has taught me the power of persistence, patience, and belief in oneself.
MUN is often seen as rules, resolutions, and speeches. But it is much more than that. It is a place where ideas meet courage, where respect meets challenge, and where every word can have meaning beyond the walls of this hall. Here, you are not just students, you are young diplomats learning to listen deeply, argue thoughtfully, and act responsibly. Every question you tackle, every debate you engage in, is a step toward understanding the complexities of the world and finding solutions that matter.
Delegates, remember this conference is not just about winning awards. It is about growth. It is about realizing that even the smallest voice can influence the largest room. Your placard is not just a piece of paper, it is your commitment to learning, to speaking, and to making a difference.
In these three days, I urge you to step fully into your roles. Debate passionately but respectfully. Listen actively. Think critically. And most importantly, nuzzle the challenges that come with leadership. These experiences will shape not just your performance in MUN, but the way you approach the world beyond these walls.
Let this MUN be a reminder that the chasing of peace, understanding, and collaboration is never-ending. Let it teach you that courage is not the absence of fear, but the decision to act despite it. And let it inspire you to be the diplomat who bridges divides, builds understanding, and ignites hope.
So, I welcome you all to TESMUN 2025. Step forward, speak up, and make every moment count, not just for today, but for the world you’re building for tomorrow
The speech was delivered by the Secretary General of the TESMUN 2025 during the opening ceremony.
Honourable Chair of this opening ceremony and General Secretary Mr. Kabya Adhikari, Chairperson of the School Madam Sheetal Rana Administrative Incharge Mr. Niraj Bikram Rana, My teammates, Esteemed Teachers, Dear Students.
It is with pleasure and profound purpose that I stand before you today on the occasion of TESMUN 2025.This programme is not simply an event on our school calendar;it is an endeavour of vision, courage, and conviction. I am here to offer my heartfelt wishes for its success and to remind each of you of the opportunity that lies before you.
Model United Nations, at its very essence, is not a rehearsal of rhetoric, but a rehearsal for reality. It is where you learn that words are not only sounds in the air but bridges across borders, where resolutions are not only documents on paper but dreams for a better planet-.
We have organised this MUN with a clear intention: to ignite your intellect to shape your character, and inspire your courage. It is not enough to learn about the world; you must learn to stand for the world
In this forum, you will learn three profound lessons:
The lessons of listening-for diplomacy begin not with speaking but with understanding.
The lesson of debating-for progress is born not in silence but in respectful disagreement.
The lesson of uniting-for the future of humanity depends not on division but on collaboration.
Our School’s core values-Excellence Exploration, Compassion, Ethics, Leadership, Sustainability, Inclusivity,Ownership and Resilience find their living embodiment here. When you defend human rights, you embody compassion. When Imagine, for a moment, the sound of gravel striking not as commands of authority, but as calls for accountability.
Imagine resolutions that are not lines written in ink, but lights carried into the future. Imagine yourself not as a mere participant, but as pioneer-planting seeds of change that will outgrow the walls of this school and shape the world outside.
You may falter, but not fear.
You may struggle,but not surrender.
You may disagree, but do not disrespect.
For it is in your faltering that you find resilience, in your struggle that you find strength, and in your disagreement that you find democracy.
Some may say’”It is just a simulation.” But I say, it is a spark. And sparks, when nurtured, become flames-flames that light minds, flames that move hearts, and flames that guide nations.
As your Principal,I stand not as a critic but as a compassion on this journey.I believe that the voices raised here will echo beyond these walls, that the confidence you gain will guide your choices, and that the empathy you nurture will shape your density.
In the days ahead, may you not only craft resolutions, but also resolve to craft yourselves. And may you not only represent nations, but also represent the best of humanity.
So, as you set forth on this journey, let my words serve as a blessing, a benediction, and a beacon. May TESMUN 2025 be remembered not only for its debates, but for its discoveries;; not only for its resolutions, but for its revelations; not only for its outcomes, but for its outstanding impact on each of you.
I extend my best wishes for the success of this programme. May it enrich your learning, elevate your vision, and empower your lives..
Thank you, and may TESMUN 2025 shine as a triumph of youthful energy, intellectual engagement, and shared humanity.
The Speech was delivered by Principal Prashant Rajak During the opening ceremony
Honourable Secretary General Mr. Kabya Adhikari, respected Deputy Secretary general Mr. Sakchyam Ghimire, our esteemd MUN coodrinator Mr.Govinda Gautam, administrative incharge Mr. Niraj Bikram Rana, chair person of The Excelsior School Madam Sheetal Rana, respected principal Mr.Principal Mr.Prashant rajak and my Fellow dias and delegates, warm greetings and salutations to you all.
I stand before you all today, proud and humbled, as I reflect on the incredible journey, which has truly become an exeprience of a lifetime. The TESMUN-2025 has been nothing short of unforgettable, having been a platform where I have witnessed calm deliberations, unexpected humor and heated debates whithin my very own committee. What I witnessed as the chair of UNEP was something remarkable; the spark of transformation in each and every one of my delegates.
To my committee, delegates, you were nothing less than powerhouse. Powehouses to your future, and to the fate of our world. Each delegates brought something new and unique to the table. The dynamic duo of the delgates of china and DPRK consistently brought fire and VERY strategic coordination to the conference, always ready to stir discussion, whether it be during a moderated caucus or a sudden crisis.
Russia's bold and impactful statements kept the momentum goining even during the committee's most passive moments, and the energy and points presented with precision by the delegate of USA often pushed the committee int new territory. South Africa kept the committee running with his point of parliamentary inquiries, and the delegate of the UK will be forever be remembered as the one who kept the running theme of apologies going. Indonesia's authenticity also definetely stood out throughout the three sessions.
Delegates, this journey has been wonderful and I thank not just you, but my wonderful dias panel for making the experience exceptional as well. A heartfelt thank you goes out to my Executive Board. To my vice-chair, your leadership and unwavering support were invaluable when it came to having respect and outstanding repercussions in UNEP. From answering questions, providing clarity, to offering honest and consturctive feedback, your kind presence uplifted the entire committee. To my moderator, thank you for working deliberatelybehind the scenes, ensuring that every delegate's voice had been recognized and heard . Your silent yet steady guidance portrayed a detrimental part in o
committee. Toegether, I have no doubt that our efforts will eleave a lasing impression.
I was a delegate in UNEP myself. I still remember the adrenaline and nerves when the crisis potrayed me as the offlicial culprit; when accusations were getting thrown at me in all directions. But I also clearly remember how those moments shaped me, all those MUN sessions were more than enough to prepare me for the leader I have become today. They mig

A warm and pleasant good morning to Secretary General, Mr.Kabya Adhikari , Honorable Chairperson of The Excelsior School and Guardian of the school family Madam Sheetal Rana, Honorable Administrative In Charge Niraj Bikram Rana, Respected Principal Mr. Prashanta Rajak, In-charges, Supervisors, respected teachers, my fellow team members in the dais panel, delegates, members from press and IT committee, members from the Logistic team and all invitees here!
It is with immense joy and a heart full of gratitude that I stand here today as the Chair of Legislative Parliament-3. I am truly honoured to have led this committee, one that was not only vibrant in voice but powerful in purpose.
DELEGATES YOU WERE INSPIRING. YOU WERE FEARLESS. YOU WERE EXCEPTIONAL.
From the very first gavel strike, I witnessed a wave of ideas, passion, and energy sweep across the committee room. Your enthusiasm turned silence into statements, doubts into discussions, and hesitation into bold, confident declarations.
Together, we delved into some of the most critical challenges Nepal faces today from misuse of natural resources that silently creep into our development
To the world of corruption so real, yet so often ignored.
To youth unemployment that eats away at the dreams of an entire generation,
And you didn’t just talk about these issues, you tackled them. Head-on. With facts, with empathy, and with purpose.
There were moments of disagreement, of course. But those moments didn’t divide us—they sharpened our thoughts.
WE DIDN’T JUST DEBATE we DISRUPTED COMPLACENCY. WE QUESTIONED THE STATUS QUO. AND WE REIMAGINED WHAT’S POSSIBLE.
When young minds come together with clarity, courage, and commitment—THE IMPACT IS UNDENIABLE.
Dear delegates, your confidence today reminded me of my first MUN experience. I was once in your place nervous, unsure, but full of dreams. I remember sitting in the back of the room, too afraid to raise my placard, wondering if my voice mattered.
And now, here I am standing before you as your Chair.
So if you’re sitting here today wondering whether you're enough, let me tell you something YES, YOU ARE.
You are enough. You are capable. You are the future.
MUN isn’t just about resolutions. It’s about transformation. The transformation that happens when you open your mind, raise your voice, and learn to lead—even when it’s uncomfortable.
And the best part? That transformation doesn’t end here.
One of the most important tasks I had was maintaining fairness and following the rules of procedure UNA-USA which was a new procedure .At times, debates became intense, and it was my responsibility to make sure the discussion remained productive and diplomatic. This required quick decision-making and a strong understanding of MUN protocols. It was not always easy, but I realized that being neutral and having confidence are key qualities of a dais member. This experience helped me delve into many responsibilities like handling a group of students .
What made the moment so brilliant was to watch delegates grow during the conference. Many delegates entered shy or uncertain with their body shivering, but as the sessions progressed, they became more confident and persuasive. They stood against accusations and replied enthusiastically .This feeling gave me a sense of pride that I was the one who taught them about M.U.N. by creating an environment where they could shine gave me a sense of pride and fulfillment. What made the moment so fabulous was the aggression by the delegate of Ramesh Lekhak, logic of delegate of Gokul Prasad Baskota heated debate between delegate of Sher Bahadur and Puspha Kamal Dahal ,never giving spirit of delegate of Shishir Khanal, exceptional analysis by delegate of Janardhan Sharma ,those shivering hands of delegate of Gagan Kumar Thapa that later turned out to be confident ones .All of these events create memories that will be forever written in my heart
Firstly,I would like to extend my gratitude to my committee Incharge Madam Kamala Kharel and Degraj Sapkota sir for their active supervision and support.Their supervision was truly essential in completion of TES MUN 2025
THIS IS NOT A CLOSING CEREMONY THIS IS A CALL TO CONTINUE.
To speak.
To question.
To lead.
To serve.
THE WORLD IS WAITING FOR YOU. SO STAND TALL, SPEAK PROUD—AND REMEMBER THIS: YOUR VOICE MATTERS.
"Model United Nations trains today's students to tomorrow's leaders.Students who do MUN would one day change the world"
I extend my warm greetings to the esteemed Secretary General, Mr. Kabya Adhikari, our Honorable Chief Guest and Managing Director of the School, Mr. Ram Basnet; the Honorable Special Guest and Chairperson of the School, Madam Sheetal Rana; the Respected Administrative In Charge, Mr. Niraj Bikram Rana; the Respected Principal, Mr. Prashant Rajak; the Respected MUN Coordinator, Mr. Govinda Gautam; the Instructional Supervisors: the Teachers; my fellow panel members, and everyone present here today.
My MUN journey started in grade 7 when I was totally unaware of what was happening, seeing students debate and rush around while I just observed. The next year, I entered the National Committee in Legislature Parliament III as the Delegate of Arzu Rana, where I was accused of corruption but found my passion for debating and even won a Special Mention award. Later, I represented Mexico in ECOSOC, learning about international issues like trade, wars, and conflicts, and received the Noticeable Delegate award. This year, returning to the national committee as the Chair of LP III, I realized how tough it is to guide and lead others, but every moment has taught me the true value of politics and learning through MUN.
Firstly, I want to convey my gratitude for the chance to speak to you as the Chair of Legislative Parliament One. In the past, my committee LP-1 was full of enthusiasm and ideas, consistently engaged and proactive, and the delegate of Chandra Kanta Raut had the ability to distill matters and clarify the logic behind the situations we faced. The effective collaboration between K.P Oli and Bishnu Prasad Poudel significantly enhanced the committee's functioning, and I must also recognize Sobita Gautam's outstanding research efforts. I concur that the cooperation of everyone contributed to the efficient operation of LP-1. The entertainment provided by the delegate of Shekhar Koirala was truly memorable and the active speaking of Gyan Bahadur Shahi made the committee pleasant.
As the chair of the legislative parliament, I must admit that even with the occasional instability of the committee, I take immense pride in my delegates. I am grateful for all your hard work and commitment as a cohesive team. As I conclude this speech, I want to recognize the steadfast support of my devoted Vice Chair and hardworking diligent Moderator, as their input and direction were crucial to our committee's seamless performance during challenging times.
Let us remember that this MUN signifies not an end, but a new beginning. It serves as a reminder that even the most intricate world issues can be addressed through collaboration, empathy, and the willingness to listen. We are in a world full of so much hate that we don't even try to understand anybody else, and MUN is a place where we all can come together.
Now, to announce the winners, I would like to invite Vice Chair Ms.Akina Ghimire, Moderator Ms.Grishma Shrestha, and Committee In-Charge Mrs. Laxmi Lamsal to present the awards.
Grishma "Thankyou Prithu! We are so excited to be here to announce the winners of the TES MUN 2082 of LP-1. The competition was fierce, and all the delegates did an incredible job. We want to thank everyone for their hard work and dedication"

Good morning and Namaste to the chair of this closing ceremony and the Secretary General Kabya Adhikari
Chief guest of this program, madam Sheetal Rana
Respected administrative in-charge; Mr. Bikram Rana
Respected principal, Prasant Rajak
Our MUN coordinator and advisor, Mr. Govinda Gautam
The deputy secretary general, Mr. Sakchyam Ghimire
our beloved teachers, in-charges, fellow delegates, and all members of TESMUN 2025.”
As I, Ishan Sharma, stand before you today, I am filled with a deep sense of pride and honor. My journey with MUN began in grade 8, when I first represented the delegation of Rekha Sharma. I won't hide the fact that I was an inactive speaker back then, only speaking to raise motions. As someone who never really understood the politics of Nepal, TES MUN 2023 turned out to be a disaster for me.
In the next year, however, things would change. I was in the Disarmament and International Security Committee (DISEC), representing the delegation of Brazil, where I also won the best delegate award. It was there that I finally got a chance to show off my debating skills. Raising my placard to speak really changed my life. My praise worthy efforts in the general assembly further boosted my confidence. It was also here that I first started to grow a small interest in the Chair’s role. I would always look at the chair's placard, wishing and wondering, if one day, my name would also be engraved on one of those things.
Speaking truthfully, I was a bit hesitant at first. I was unsure about being a chair. Could someone as nervous as me handle an entire committee? What if I failed to be a chair? What would happen then? Looking at my competitors, it was evident that my chances of being a chair were low, but alas, never zero. I always knew it was my destiny to be the chair of this committee and lead you all to glory and greatness. Thankfully, I didn't have to run the entire committee by myself. I was fortunate to be accompanied by probably the best vice-chair and moderator ;Mrs. Neeti Shrestha and Upashna Dhamala, I could have hoped for. Their constant support, willingness to help the delegates, and dedication to the committee made everything possible.
And now, the moment you all have been waiting for, a special mention to the delegates of DISEC 2025 who made the committee sessions special. I will always remember the strong speeches and points of China and Iran, the chemical attacks of Yemen, Germany as our out-standing and impenetrable wall, Israel as the great mathematician of our committee, Belarus as our most entertaining delegate, and the remarkable research and enthusiasm of France and Ukraine. I will also never forget the moment when the entire committee raised a motion and came together to throw the DSG out, nor the time when the delegate of the USA went as far as creating an entirely new country of their own. Aside from that, each of you delegates brought something unique that made DISEC feel special and embodied the true spirit of diplomacy.
I would like to pause and extend my sincerest gratitude to our committee in-charges, Mr. Bidur Lamichhane and Mr. Sanjeev __. Without their guidance, only God knows how hectic the committee could have been. Their contribution and dedication to this year’s MUN have been invaluable. I would also like to thank the administration of the school for giving us a forum where young minds like ours can explore the world of international diplomacy. To our Principal, Mr. Prashant Rajak, and our Coordinator, Mr. Govinda Gautam, your trust in us has been central to making TESMUN 2025 a true success. Above all, I am grateful to each delegate here for reminding us that MUN is not merely an activity, but a lesson, a challenge, and a promise that the future of diplomacy rests in capable and committed hands.
Thank you for making TES MUN 2025 special for me.
Now I would like to call our respected committee incharge, Mr.Bidur Lamichanne along with my vice chair Mrs.Neeti Shrestha and our moderator Mrs.Upashna Dhamala to distribute and announce the awardees.
Delegates, one last thing, you all have the potential inside you, you just need to find a way to bring it out. Please step out of your comfort zone, and achieve something great in life.
Good morning and Namaste to the chair of the closing ceremony and secretary general Mr. Kabya Adhikari, chief guest of the programme and school chairperson Madam Sheetal Rana , respected Principal Mr. Prashant Rajak, MUN advisor Mr. Govinda Gautam, the deputy Secretary General Sakchyam Ghimire, in charges, supervisors, teachers, members in dais panel and dear delegates. It is both an honour and a privilege to stand before you today as the Chair of ECOSOC for TESMUN 2025.
I can probably guess what you all are keeping bottled up inside you right now. Some might be thinking that there was no point for them to be here as they had no chance to garner the awards, some might be excited to their core to figure out their standing while some of you just might be unbothered by all of this as I was once a humble delegate just like you all. My journey with MUN began in Grade 8, when I first entered LP 1, representing none other than Dr. Swornim Wagle. At that time, I was a nervous delegate, unsure if my voice was strong enough to reach the committee, unsure if my ideas carried the weight I thought they did. Yet, despite my fear, I managed to contribute valuable points and was humbled to receive a Special Mention. That moment ignited an ember within me which kept burning more and more as the MUN
sessions passed by in a blink of an eye, teaching me that the courage that I could see from many people and the courage that I so eagerly wanted wasnt an absence of fear but the ability to move ahead despite the fears you may have.
But even with that realization, it was still hard to properly understand the internal turmoil that lingered within me even through my sessions in the International Committee of ECOSOC as the delegate of USA. Even after my achievement of Best Delegate with my 2 pages of research close to my research folder, I still felt something was lacking. But then, almost as a miracle, the perfect opportunity arose for me to figure out what the turmoil I was facing had been, in the form of a position as the chair
of ECOSOC. But of course I was scared, worried, afraid of the problems that could arise, but with a huge push from our MUN advisor this year, I took on the role of Chair for the ECOSOC committee. The task of course wasnt smooth sailing. Guiding a room full of diverse perspectives and balancing the energy of debate with the spirit of diplomacy comes with its separate challenges. But my fortune hadnt left me as I was not alone. My Vice Chair, Sheewin Shrestha, and my Moderator, Nischit Shrestha, have
been pillars of strength throughout these sessions. Their constant support, sharp insights, and shared commitment made ECOSOC 2025 a truly amazing experience.
And then, of course, there were our delegates. I could not have asked for a more engaging and active committee. The humour and the sharp research mixed with hints of logical reasoning and creativity that you all brought to the table made every session
engaging while fulfilling the essence of debating. Each delegate stood out in their own way, the United States with its obsession with research, Iran with its calm stance of neutrality, China's blend of logic with research, Russia’s assertiveness, Japan’s changing of sides like it was a normal Tuesday in the crises, and the United Kingdom with the longest but meaningful points I have seen. With your own uniqueness, you all
managed to stand out in a crowd of multiple opinions which is something for you should all be proud of.
A heartfelt message of gratitude also goes to our school administration and teachers, to our respected Principal, Mr. Prashant Rajak, to our Advisor, Mr. Govinda Gautam, and to every teacher who encouraged us, I would like to thank you on behalf of the members of TESMUN 2025 for creating a platform where students like us can grow not just as delegates but as leaders, thinkers, and speakers.
Personally, this journey has been quite the surprise. MUN, improving my confidence, sharpening my ability to carry myself in public, and teaching me the essence of teamwork showed quite the transformative process for my improvement. But how could I forget the enhancements it provided in my decision making ability in the crucial moments of choosing the right delegate to recognize among dozens of raised placards. As I look back on these sessions, I realize that MUN is not just an event, it is a tapestry
of multiple and different experiences, learning beyond the confines of the words of textbooks, and a training ground for personal development. It has reminded me time and again that the future of diplomacy lies not in domination but in dialogue, in listening as much as in speaking, and in finding unity within the grand diversity of opinions.
In the end I was able to quell my own internal turmoil with the help of my very own rambunctious delegates who were able to help me make my time as the chair of ECOSOC a very memorable one.
And to all delegates, I would like to state that MUN is not about what awards you achieved but about how much personal improvement you showcased and whether you can maintain consistency regarding your development.
Finally, to all of you present here, thank you for making ECOSOC 2025 successful not just as a committee but as a shared journey to create a legacy.
Now, I would like to call upon out committee incharge Mr. Uttam Luitel to distribute the awards and out vice chair Ms. Sheewin Shrestha and our moderator Mr. Nischit Shrestha to announce the awardees.
Honorable Secretary General, and Chair of this closing ceremony Mr. Kabya Adhikari,
Honourable chief Guest and Chairperson of the School Madam Sheetal Rana,
Respected Principal, Mr. Prasant Rajak,
Respected Administrative Incharge of the School Mr. Niraj Bickram Rana
MUN Avidor, Mr. Govinda Gautam,
Distinguished Dias Panel,
My fellow team mates,
And our passionate delegates from various committees.
Good morning!
Standing before you as the IT Head of TESMUN 2025 fills me with a lot of pride and joy.
Over the past few weeks, this conference has gone from just an idea to something real — not because of one person, but because of all of you working together. Each of you added a piece to this whole picture, making the experience we have today possible.
This year’s TESMUN has been more than just meetings and speeches.
It has been long nights of work, lots of technical work, unexpected problems that needed quick fixes, and most of all, a strong and never-give-up attitude. What I saw wasn’t just a conference — it was real proof of teamwork, hard work, and big ideas.
Our delegates have been the main reason behind everything — digging into tough topics, representing their countries, and pushing themselves to think in new ways.
The organizing team, the people on the speaking platform, and everyone else who helped made sure everything was set up well enough for this event to happen. And the IT and press teams — together, we made the digital part of TESMUN possible, showing the world what happened here.
For me, this moment is a big deal.
Being at The Excelsior School for so long has taught me how events like this change not only conferences, but also people. Today, I see future leaders, diplomats, and thinkers in this room, and I know the lessons learned here will stay with them long after the end of TESMUN 2025.
As we move into the final part of our program, let’s take with us not just memories, but also the drive to keep creating spaces where young people’s voices are heard.
The videos you will watch next aren’t just highlights — they are reflections of a journey where ideas became actions, and where conversations turned into inspiration.
Thank you all for being part of this unforgettable time.
May your future journeys be filled with courage, clear thinking, and the same passion you showed at TESMUN 2025.
Now it's time for the Award distribution from the IT committee. I would like to invite my colleagues the Deputy Heads of the committee Mr. Jasbin Adhikari and Mr. Pradyoat Sharma Chapagain here to announce the award. At the same time, I would like to invite Madam Deepa Ghimire to the stage to confer the certificates to the distinguished members of the committees. Now my colleagues will take on.
Thank you.
