Students will stand in a big circle and spread out as far as they can from each other. After this is done one student can be chosen to be the “leader” for the activity. The student in the middle call out “8 count shake down 5, 6, 7, 8!” and everybody in the circle puts their right hand in the air and shakes it eight times as they all count. Then they all shake their left hand, then their right foot, then their left foot all 8 times. After this, they go through the same thing again but only do each body part 4 times, then 2, the 1, and then they jump and scream “wooo!” I think that this would be a great way for kids to get energy out after sitting for an extended period of time!
